Just don’t ask about the Ozai thing. I can’t fully explain it myself.
I have problems believing anything that comes out of Amon’s mouth. I thought his energybending was fake. Even if it is real, now I think he’s a bender too which is how he’s capable of bending energy. “Amon” is a chosen name, a title, and his backstory is made up to gain sympathy. Random firebender aggressor? Who wouldn’t believe that? Everything about him is a lie; a story serving as an identity cover. So yes, that is indeed a scarless, non-burned face.
Equalist cosplay? AMON IT.
Mask is made from rigid wrap (plaster bandages) then sculpted on top with paperclay. There’s approximately five million layers of gesso on this. Took me an hour to mix the correct shade for his markings/mask shade. I don’t even want to talk about how long the thin red line took me to paint.
Look for a shorty Amon at NYCC!Looking at this actually gave me chills. I thought Amon had breached into our reality and I was about to crap myself. Really awesomely done.
